Honk! Honk! The fun is about to begin!
.
The Quonset Hut is all set-up to receive the first batch of donations this Saturday, June 10th from 9:00 to noon. If required, it will be possible to drive right in to unload furniture items. Otherwise the trusty group of volunteers will assist drivers to unload their vehicles.
.
Please advise the team if there are items of special value, anything especially noteworthy or fragile items so they may take extra care. Team Rummage also asks donors to please be mindful of the items that cannot be accepted.
.
To donate something specific for the Silent Auction tables, please contact info@pioneerpark.ca and include ‘Silent Auction’ in the subject line. These items are safely stored and registered in a different location.

The date is set for the annual Rummage Sale and Silent Auction presented by the Pioneer Park Association. Mark your calendars for Friday, July 14th.
.
The annual Rummage Sale is the largest revenue generating event to support and maintain Pioneer Park, a vibrant, healthy and open park space for all to enjoy. This is a generations-old community event, now in it’s 74th year, that pulls our village together and kicks off the summer season.
.
This year’s hardworking Team Rummage organizers are Catherine Tillmann, Dianne Jewitt, Sharon Craig, Danuta Wyant, Trudy Book, Lynn Whaley, Jayne Dietrich and Carole Stinson. Additional volunteers are encouraged! For more information on ways you can help, please send an email to info@pioneerpark.ca with ‘Volunteer’ in the subject line.
.
Every year the Rummage Sale relies on the generosity of the community to donate their no longer needed, clean, complete and in good working order items for the sale. Donation drop-off dates are June 10, June 17 and June 24 from 9:00am to noon at the Quonset Hut on Highway 21, just north of Bayfield.

The rain gardens are showing some beautiful colour, this spring, with many thanks to the bleeding heart and the redbud trees.

What other plants or trees have caught your attention in the park this spring?

Five years ago PPA started to rejuvenate the daffodils around the perimeter of the park, planting 300 bulbs the first 2 years. Since then, we have planted 150 bulbs each year. Helen and Terry have generously provided the daffodils bulbs along with topsoil, fertilizer and bone meal for the last 300 planted! The 900 daffodil bulbs planted now provide the park with the historic look from the past. Many thanks to Helen and Terry for their dedication to Pioneer Park. ... See MoreSee Less
